Postal Woes and Used Make-Up

I know it has been a long time since I posted, I really do mean to post here but my moods are so fragile and quick to pass. Anywho, onto why I’m here!
Recently I ordered a few things, and the 3 parcels I’ve been waiting on for a while all arrived today. Yay! Only not quite.

My Candy Geisha goodies arrived, but the box was beaten up.

My Sugarpill Poisonplum arrived, but talk about an oversized box, lolwat.

And then the one I’d been wanting most out of them all, my Urban Decay Anarchy Face Case. I’d wanted this since its release and was so excited to finally have it in my hands. That was until I opened it and realised it had been used and then returned.
The case was all scratched, the lip pencil worn away, marked and lack lustre, and half of the pans had deep grooves and brush marks in them. The entire case was dirty.

I would have taken pictures, but I was so upset and frustrated that I just boxed it back up, filled in the returns form and sent the courier collection request online.
I expect this sort of thing from an eBay shop or perhaps a shop who only sells make-up as a side line like Tesco, but not from Debenhams, the only official UK distributor of Urban Decay. Who doesn’t check cosmetics returns?! My guess is someone bought both the Anarchy and Shattered, used them both and then returned the one they didn’t want.
I am now going to have to wait over a week just to order my replacement, as it was bought with a giftcard and the earliest courier pick-up was monday. This means I have to wait for it to be picked up, and THEN processed before I get my credit back. BAHHHH
According to Debenhams website “Items returned by courier can take up to 10 working days to reach us once the parcel has been collected. Once your refund has been processed it can take 3 to 5 working days for your card provider to credit your account.”. Why so long? T_T

Trip Planning – London

image

This past week, Pete and I have been planning our annual October week in London, encompassing both London MCM (comicon) and Pete’s birthday.
Picking where we’re staying has definitely been the hardest part, certainty the most long winded! Finally settled on a place on AirBnB rather than a hotel, after last year’s horror story.

Now that side is all sorted, I can move onto the fun side of planning! The standard go-to places are already on the list, such as Cyberdog and Trocaderos, but need to find some more bright and fun things to do. Also going to see what Westfield is like and drag Pete makeup shopping. 😉
May try a spot of vlogging whilst we’re there.

As for MCM, we’ll be there for the entire weekend, as our stay will be the 23rd-30th. Cannot wait, although I have yet to start my costume! D:
Hope there is a better range of fashion stalls this year, especially as they have expanded into an extra hall, definitely will be looking to buy a new pair of circle lenses but not sure of colours or designs, suggestions?
If you see me, definitely come and say hi, I would love to meet some new people.

Hello blogland!

A big hello to the world of blogging! I’m Anna and this is my first true blog, after years of using sites such as Tumblr and Twitter, although not so much the latter (Also used to use Diaryland many years ago, we’re talking 10 odd years here), I decided to set up my own beauty blog, as I have noticed a distinct lack of blogs catering to the cyber styles.
The aim and direction of this blog will be make-up and fashion-centric, with a leaning on the bright side of clothing, as well as some dark. I hope to, in time, film and upload some tutorials of my own, a mix of make-up looks and some simple craft projects, maybe even some personal vlogging if that’s something people are interested in?

Anywho, I am babbling now, so TL;DR
If colourful make-up and futuristic fashion is your bag, then subscribe and stay tuned. 🙂
